A task demanding everything
An order to found a new school
My task making many a rule
First time when visiting
Could not help but sighing
Helpless like a surge
Pushing me to the verge
Paper pencil in hand
With my trusted band
All that needed in a school
One by one put into a pool
From Sahara to an oasis
A green Wembley arises
Distant towers of the city
Promise of heights so mighty
The first batch real pioneers
Together daring new frontiers
Hardships shortages bravely faced
Skill and resolve cleverly paced
Beloved students of yesteryear
A family close so dear
Boys to gentlemen they flourished
With values of life so cherished
The best in sports and studies
Boys struggling to match ladies
A rugby team with no match
A legacy of this early batch
Ian Gordon made rugby shine
His team never to cross the line
Training in rain and shine
Teamwork in spirit so fine
Hokey football Indran`s coaching
Lim Heng Sing always there helping
Pain is temporary all will know
From glory all these will flow
Wynn Jones Markham Clifford
Expert teachers from aboard
Malaysian teachers to be proud
Saad Yassin`s efforts speak so loud
Zahidi Hussaini Seth Raja Idris and others
SMSS shaped by all such movers
Lest this proud legacy be forever lost
